Turn your material into matching questions — terms to definitions, events to dates, causes to effects — with the answer key. A Quizbot Pro feature.

Matching questions test many facts in one compact item: students pair each term with its definition, each event with its date or each cause with its effect. They are ideal for vocabulary and for connecting related ideas, but building a good set by hand — one topic per set, one clear match for each item, no giveaways — takes time. Quizbot’s matching quiz generator builds the pairs from your own material and adds the answer key.

Keep each set to one topic, so every option on the right is a plausible match for every item on the left. A handful of pairs is usually enough; very long lists test searching more than knowing. Items should be short and clearly worded, and each should have exactly one correct match.
Quizbot builds pairs from the key terms and ideas in your material and keeps each set on a single topic, so students have to know the content rather than eliminate odd options.
Vocabulary and definitions in any subject, people and their achievements, events and dates, parts and functions in science, symbols and meanings, or causes and effects in history. Matching also makes a quick, low-stress review at the start of a lesson.
